Coach Wilson
Wilson Martinez has made a significant impact on the world of baseball and softball both as a player and as a dedicated coach. Wilson’s journey in the sport began during his high school years and his commitment and skillm were evident as he proudly earned four varsity baseball letters. Continuing his passion for baseball, Wilson pursued higher education where represented the Globe Institute's baseball team at the Division 1 junior college level, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. Seeking further academic and athletic opportunities, Wilson joined Rutgers Newark where
he competed at the Division 3 level in the prestigious New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC).

As Wilson' s playing career progressed, his love for the game extended beyond his own performance on the field. He transitioned into coaching and became an integral part of the baseball and softball community providing leadership to coaches and players wanting to pursue careers in softball and baseball.
From 2003 to 2008, Wilson dedicated his time and expertise to All Pro Academy batting cages in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, where he honed the skills of aspiring young players through personalized training and guidance. Wilson’s coaching journey continued with the Newark RBI Program 18u from 2003 to 2008. Through the program, he played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of baseball and softball players, instilling in them the values of teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship, getting them ready to move forward in their journey through college, minor and major league ball.
Wilson presently continues to nurture young talent through private lessons, winter, spring, and summer camps and specializes in coaching catching, hitting, and fielding, and conducted practices for travel, club teams and tryouts, ensuring thorough player evaluations.
Wilson's coaching expertise spans all levels of the game, ranging from tee ball to working with aspiring Major League Baseball players. Most recently, Wilson was a hitting and catching coach at Drew University for the 2012 softball season, assist coached for 8u travel softball in Roxbury, NJ 2020-2021 and was Head Coach to NJ Elite 10u team in 2022-2023.
Wilson’ vast experience and deep understanding of the intricacies of baseball and softball have allowed him to positively impact countless individuals and teams throughout his coaching career.
